The Biodiesel market is growing at a rapid rate as companies move to create a renewable fuel source from agricultural products. However, the wastewater generated in the production of this new fuel can have high variations in flow and loading causing problems in treatment and disposal. NAWE has experience designing simple and robust, ecological systems that can effectively handle influent variations from biodeisel production facilities.

West Central Co-op (Ralston, Iowa)
NAWE worked with West Central Co-op to develop a multi-phase strategy that addressed the highly variable flow and wastewater loading at the facility in Ralston, Iowa. Moreover, NAWE developed a simple process train that complied with Iowa's changing regulatory landscape, providing a system that can handle future influent variations from the facility, while reliably meeting discharge limits.
